1. How to Measure Windows (For Magnetic Screens)
Whether you are ordering our MBORMC® H01 Magnetic Window Screen or another custom window screen, you must measure the window frame edge, not the glass.
Step 1: Measure the Width Pull your tape measure from the far left edge of the window frame to the far right edge. Pro Tip: Measure at the top, middle, and bottom. Write down the smallest number.
Step 2: Measure the Height Pull your tape measure from the top edge of the frame to the bottom edge. Pro Tip: Measure on the left side, middle, and right side. Write down the smallest number.
Note: Do not add any extra inches or centimeters! Our screens are designed with a 360° magnetic seal that requires an exact fit. If you give us a 100cm width, we will cut exactly 100cm.
2. How to Measure Doors (For Folding Screen Doors)
Measuring for our FD01 or H05 Folding Screen Doors is slightly different. You have two installation options: Inside Mount (recessed) or Outside Mount (overlay).
Method A: Outside Mount (Recommended for most homes) This method covers the entire door frame and hides any existing scratches or gaps.
- Width: Measure the outer edge of the left frame to the outer edge of the right frame.
- Height: Measure from the very top outer edge to the bottom of the threshold.
Method B: Inside Mount (For a flush, built-in look) This method fits the screen inside the door opening.
- Width: Measure the inner width from frame to frame.
- Height: Measure from the top inner edge to the threshold.
Important: For doors, you also need to check the depth of your door frame to ensure the folding screen can fold completely flat.
3. The “Photo Method” (Highly Recommended)
If you are ever unsure about your measurements, use the Photo Method:
- Hold your tape measure clearly showing the number across your window or door frame.
- Take a photo of the width and a photo of the height.
- Send the photos and your written measurements to us via WhatsApp or email.
